One thing missed in this deal is the character of the kid. All this talk by those fanbases losing out in him trying to claim locker room problems and so on. He never turned his choice into clicks like some recruits. Didn’t ask who loved him (by following him). Never pimped out for fans to join his instagram (not even sure he has one).
He handled it business like. Every school wined and dined him and tried hard to get him. Tx put him up in a ritzy hotel and a Lambo. LSU did a weird dinner thingy. Yet he never leaked or flaunted his recruitment.
And then once he made his choice he reached out to every school and thanked them for their time. Yet other fanbases already hate this kid for no reason other than he picked someone else.
He seems like a great kid navigating the wild west NIL. Blue collar type kid.
Here’s an article about him.

Sooners land family man
Williams hopes to be a good father someday. In a first person feature written during his time at TCU, Williams said his father was not part of his life after he turned seven years old. Ever since, he has wanted to be there to support his future children.
Williams was raised by Cicily and his grandmother alongside Joshua and older brother Devin. Williams’ mom twice overcame cancer while he was growing up.
