Powdered Gypsum is the way to go if you know for a fact the mud particles are suspended and its not catfish stirring up mud at bottom. You can get it from feed stores. I did this with my 1 acre pond that is roughly 15-20' deep at deepest point and it came out great. If I remember correctly, I spend roughly $1,000 in product and just dump it in my prop wash and made my way around my pond slowly. Took around 2 weeks to fully see effects but I had a clear view 15-20" deep.

Just added copper sulfate for the algae (i assuming that's causing my lack of clarity) 3 days ago and not seeing any change so far.

Great thanks! I had a neighbor mention this as well. I appreciate the information.

Powdered Gypsum
This. It drops the suspended mud particles to the bottom. My pond is 1/3 acre and I just kinda flung it in all around it. Used about 500 pounds. Buy it buy the bag at feed stores, call before you go pick it up, they all don't carry it. For bigger ponds, people will ride around in a boat and drop it in the prop wash, or also mix it in a big tank and form a slurry and then pump it into the pond.
Before you buy a bunch, buy one bag and do a jar test. Fill up 2 jars with pond water. Leave one alone. In the other, add a tablespoon of gypsum and shake up. Check a few hours/days later and see the difference.
Also, make sure its POWDERED gypsum, not pelletized.
