It wasn’t a false rumor. Kelly reached out to Michigan and they declined to interview him. It was on ESPN radio in Texarkana.

If Jimbo had won the SEC west in year 1 and had a Heisman QB lead the number 1 offense in the nation I certainly would give him props
Instead he jam packed his team with a lot of talent and couldn’t field an offense that would scare anyone. Even in the Covid year he ran away from Ole Miss because they would’ve out scored his team and kicked them out of an NY6 bowl
He then followed it up by pulling out of a bowl game the following year so it wouldn’t affect his recruiting class
His soft leadership created a soft culture that would lead to losing every close game they were in

Just to stay on topic. Liucci is a smart business man and he loves A&M. If he wasn’t so biased he’d be a top tier national reporter but he can’t get out of his own way.
I enjoy Olan because he calls a spade a spade and calls out other media

Mr. Sausage if my memory serves correct he brought it up and mentioned it off hand to Nuño. Then he doubled down on it on a podcast with Jacob Hester but never heard that podcast. Just heard Hester talking about it later on a local radio show.

He started the entire rumor on an SEC podcast.
No one had said anything about BK being interested in the Michigan job prior to that.
