Ugly night at the plate. Their lefty pitcher ate our lefty batters for lunch.
Apparently we just need to win one of these to feel really good about a regional.

And the RH reliever went 2.2 innings. Bama LH swingers were 2-17 at the plate!
But more than that ugly-arse stat, to me, it was the lackadaisical display for nine innings, especially considering the time of the season and what could possibly be in front of us, and it was AUBURN!!!!!!!
We botched a DP that led to a run. The bad news bears play between Grant and Hamiter was comical. That led to a run. Farone was up in the zone and behind a lot of hitters.
Also, Lebron is as smooth as baby hair! Guscette is a gutsy battler in everything he does.

Gonna be hard to replace Lebron.

Yeah, that's pretty terrible.

Mark my words
If Lebron leaves, you will not see me in this thread next year.

“11 visiting runners were left on base, coupled with a 2-for-9 showing at the dish with runners in scoring position. Farone was tagged with the loss. The 4-2 margin almost seemed daunting after the offensive performance, even as the top of the order was due up in the final inning. Shortstop Justin Lebron had a three-hit day and a walk, but apart from catcher Mac Guscette (who scored the first Crimson Tide run of the contest), he was the only visiting player with multiple hits.”

I mean I would hate it too, but you can’t stop it these days . He may love it here and stay (hope so) but teams around the country are going to be making a run at numerous players on everybody’s roster

Lost to an absolutely putrid barn team in a must win series.
Yep. Bad thing is that we probably had a decent case to host a regional if we had swept. But that is out the window now. Just need to win some games.

Top players on the top 5-6 teams in the SEC are not leaving on the yearly basis unless it’s to the draft.
If we let somebody outbid us for Lebron then it tells me we don’t really take baseball serious enough so why should I?
Hopefully it’s a moot point.
We can cross that bridge if it gets here.

Personally I think too many are overreacting to Holman and Shelton leaving last year during a coaching change.

Looked like Hammy was shifted over a little there. Pretty good coaching as that looked like a 2-run double instead of an out.
