I remember a few years back Bama was recruiting Jake Raulerson, an OT recruit, instead as a JACK LB.

There was that weird span of time where they really struggled attracting top guys with the JACK pitch, and Raulerson was no different. He ended up picking Texas to play OL, before finishing up at Arkansas.
