Man, what a big get. Fills our last hole on defense.

Coaches BV and Bates did some work.

Damonic Williams
@DamonicWilliams

Where do I start this entire process has been a whirlwind. Sooner nation I want you to know at the end of the day I chose you because of relationships with Coach V & Coach Bates & the staff. They were genuine & I believe in their ability to develop me as a man & a player & prepare me for the next level. I can’t wait to get to work with my teammates!! You will get my best version & my best effort. I am blue collar & I love to compete at the highest level. God Bless & Boomer Sooner!!

Isn’t he actually like the #10 portal DT?

#23 overall portal DL. #10 tackle.

He was the only decent looking gal left at the bar at closing time. All the truly hot women had already left and OU is celebrating like they bagged a 10.

They certainly paid him like he was actually elite great job driving the price up baws, we all know OU doesn’t have a lot of cash to go around these days so this will set em back for a while

You poor, naive soul. Get ready for one rude welcome to the SEC.

I guess the definite starting spot he gets at Oklahoma was more appealing to being part of the rotation at Missouri

nice get, makes your line a bit closer to competitive in the SEC

I hear that OU paid an astronomical amount of money. I'd be very interested to find out the truth.

His "handler" delayed his commitment date, so he could spend one more day trying to get more money. Texas said see ' ya.

No biggie. Already added 3 DL from the portal this cycle.

I don’t get this narrative on tRant that Oklahoma doesn’t have a lot of money. I can assure you, just bc our roads are shite and there’s far too much poverty, there’s a lot of oil and gas money. I’ve been a Mudlogger and a Mud Engineer for the last six years. Oklahoma has a ton of wealthy oil companies and oil entrepreneurs. There’s definitely not a shortage of cash.

Williams is a good pickup. He would start for most teams in the SEC. Rivals has him as the #5 DL and #79 overall in the portal. On3 has him as the #6 DL and #73 overall

He has good experience. Started every game(27) since his true freshman year and that includes the National Championship as a true freshman.

Love to have him at Mizzou

I read he took $1m from tx to flip. For OU its a depth loss he was 2/3 on depth chart. Its a loss but not that hard to overcome. OU got its starter guy in Damonic and that “get” meant Lole needed to look for another team he could start at. Portal movement is a way of life nowadays its basically FA season

Texas wasn't going to come near Damonic's final price despite shopping until the final hour, but yea... they paid $1 million for a depth piece of their own...
