Guy is pretty damn good huh?

He's amazing, fitting in very nicely. Such an addition to a richly talented staff, he treasured his time and grew spiritually and professionally in College Station as well.

He’s been to Omaha quite a bit
Will be fine

His best accomplishment so far while at LSU is fixing Christian Little

People wanted to fire Wes Johnson at this time last year. Yeskie will be fine, we're figuring out a bunch of new players this season.

I think both teams are happy with the change. The one thing I love about our new pitching coach is how he has brought along Chris Cortez so that the kid is a staple in our weekend rotation. Cortez always had the potential, and now he is one of our better right handed options.

They’re not happy tonight.
The staff gave up 12 runs to Southern.

It's dumb to blame Yeskie for that, he isn't even halfway through his first season.
Dude has been regarded as an elite pitching coach for awhile now, he didn't suddenly forget how to coach.

He was a massive failure at A&M. Like I said, maybe both fanbases can be happy

Everyone is though.

I don’t know about that. I’m liking the direction Schloss is going with the baseball team. The top of our batting order is insane.

This is always the case, until it isn't any longer.
I bet if I went back and looked, you were really talking up the Yeskie hire.

LSU lost the foundation of their national championship team, so some regression was obviously expected. I think Yeskie has been decent so far, and am more concerned with the lack of timely hitting. I'm willing to give Yeskie the benefit of the doubt because Wes Johnson was facing the same questions last year, though that was fueled more by injuries knocking out top arms. If LSU looks like this next season, Yeskie will probably be fired, because the expectation is to make it to Omaha.
Either way I didn't expect a full on collaspe from this team so far, but a couple of breaks going the other way, and LSU is 5-4 in the SEC and none of this is being brought up.

Yeskie seemed great on paper. Reality was something else. His attitude was cancerous to the program last year … didn’t work out. We are much happier, and you get to lose to the likes of Southern.

Seems like they would've just fired him then.

Maybe. We seem to be really tolerant of losing - takes too long to make changes.

This isn’t ugly baseball This is what 300# of fat squeezed into yoga pants smells like after walking up the gravel road to her trailer while smoking a carton of Marlboro reds in 96% humidity

The average fan is a retard and has no concept of how to accurately judge their coaching staff.
Just look at you, you're all over the place when it comes to coaches.
You loved Jimbo early and then hated him, you hated the Schloss hire and now love it.
You loved the Yeskie hire, now it's terrible.
You said Elko was a turd originally but have now changed your mind.
The average fan is emotional and gives a coach too much credit when things are going well and too much blame when they're bad.

Fellas, fellas. It’s still early in the season…

I thought we could do better than Schloss but did not hate it. I think Elko was the safe hire. I loved Fisher’s recruiting but everything went to crap after Elko left. Might not be a coincidence.
Yeskie was great on paper, but simply awful in reality

Seems like revisionist history, I recall some pretty heavy bashing of both.
Including your constant threat to pull donations.
