Serious question: baseball football and basketball greatest. Not greatest player, or coach, not the last couple of years, and not the Saban era, but all time. Does the SEC own the top spot here?

Bama football, LSU Baseball and Kentucky basketball?

Baseball is Southern California despite only one national title since 1979. But they do have 12 overall.

Football is easily Alabama.

Basketball is UCLA with their 11 national titles; one since Wooden.

UConn may have more national titles in women’s basketball but Tennessee is still tops, imo, because of Pat Summitt.

FOOTBALL
1. Alabama
2. Notre Dame
3. Oklahoma
4. Southern California
5. Ohio State

BASKETBALL
1. UCLA
2. Kentucky
3. North Carolina
4. Duke
5. Kansas

BASEBALL
1. Southern California
2. LSU
3. Texas
4. Arizona State
5. Arizona

(W) BASKETBALL
1. Tennessee
2. UCONN
3. Stanford
4. Notre Dame
5. South Carolina

Football -- would have to be Alabama; however, Notre Dame will always be viewed as the most "iconic" college football program of all time.

Basketball -- since we're talking all-time, will go with UCLA, with Kentucky a fairly close second.

Baseball -- since we're talking all-time, undoubtedly this will go to USC. LSU would be next.

UConn has overtaken UT as the best WBB of all time.

Let's do a few others...........

MTennis -- USC, followed by Stanford
WTennis -- Stanford, followed by Florida
MGolf -- Oklahoma State, followed by Stanford
WGolf -- Arizona State, followed by Duke
MSwimming -- Texas, followed by Michigan
WSwimming -- Stanford, followed by Georgia and Texas
WGymnastics -- Georgia, followed by Utah
MGymnastics -- Penn State and Oklahoma, followed by Illinois and Stanford
MTrack&Field -- USC, followed by Arkansas
WTrack&Field -- LSU, followed by Texas

Kentucky is #1 all time in more metrics and achievements than any other school. We have won national championships with five different coaches. No other school comes close to that level of prolonged consistency and excellence. Duke by most measures is generally fourth or fifth depending on the category. Duke's success is entirely Coach K. Now that hes gone they will languish. North Carolina and Kansas are our only peers. Do the research.

What's so "iconic" about Notre Dame." Looks more like Touchdown Jesus has given up on these boys.

Well, right off the top of my head, ND has an all-time winning record vs. Bama (5-3-0).

Try harder, Bama.

I can't argue against USC, but I can definitely argue that Skip, Augie and Ron Polk made the sport what it is today.

Kelly coached there for 12 years and left primarily because he did not think it was possible to win a national championship there. That's a pretty stiff indictment of an "iconic" football program.

Yes. Even if yall give up your bullshite titles Bama is tops in football. Don't want to hear about media darlings ND and USC. Same goes for baseball and USC. Schools didn't care during the 1960s. LSU is king.

Only until your generation finally dies off.

They haven’t won a national championship in almost 40 years.
