That’s not what it’s all about right now, it’s about catering to what the fanbase wants to see, long hits. Regular winning baseball doesn’t draw the WWE crowds like gorilla ball does. Entertaining them is where it’s at, maybe focusing on championships can come later.

I served one up like that in high school. My outfielders didn’t even move.

448ft goes out of any park in college and the park in Omaha.

So we are not suppose to celebrate a record setting grand slam that goes 440ft? Setting a record is an accomplishment regardless if you like it or not. They are kids, let them have fun and celebrate, slapdick!

No doubt.

I personally think Tennessee inflates their Trackman data.

Would have been close. But for that to happen it would have had to go over the road and a parking lot, so I doubt it. If we had tracks 5 feet in the other side of the wall, it most definitely would have.

Why would you say that? And what evidence do you have to suggest they would lie about something like that? LNS isn’t the smallest stadium in the SEC like some of you want to believe. It is comparable to a lot of stadium dimension in most of the park. Sure there are areas that may be smaller, but overall it’s not in all areas.

Because Tennessee hits a lot of "monster" homeruns at LNS but not so many anywhere else.

One can only conclude that something is off with the Trackman data or they're purposely inflating it.

You keep saying this and LNS still has the smallest field in the conference.

Burke hit a home run last year in the super regionals at Southern Miss that went 479 feet.

Also Tennessee hits home runs almost at the same pace on the road as they do at home.

2.34 hr per game away from LNS
2.67 HR per game at LNS

Homeruns by series
@ Bama- 5
@ Aub- 14
@ UK- 10
@ UF- 4
@ Vandy- 4
@ Shriners Classic (MLB Park)- 4 in 3 games.

This is factual. But here are the facts
LNS-
RC/LC 365
Left/Righ- 320
Center- 390

UK field:
RC- 365
RF- 320

Arkansas Field:
LF- 320
RC- 365
RF- 320

Auburn field:
LF- 315
CF- 385
RC- 360

Vandy Field:
LF- 310

Ole Miss:
LC/RC- 365
Center- 390

Miss State
RF- 305
CF- 390

These are parks with same sizes or smaller sections in their fields as LNS.

Sure they do but they aren't constant 400+ foot shots.

400 foot homeruns aren't THAT common at the college level but we're supposed to believe that Tennessee routinely hits them at LNS then forgets how on the road.

Can only go off of the graphics that Tennessee posts but look at the differences here:

LNS vs South Carolina

Blake Burke 448 ft, 112 exit velo
Hunter Ensley 395 ft, 103 exit velo
Christian Moore 418 ft, 109 exit velo
Dylan Drieling 422 ft, 107 exit velo
Kavares Tears 396 ft, 107 exit velo
Christian Moore 426 ft, 110 exit velo
Christian Moore 432 ft, 112 exit velo

At Vanderbilt

Christian Moore 396 ft, 97 exit velo
Cannon Peebles 369 ft, 97 exit velo
Kavares Tears 364 ft, 104 exit velo
Christian Moore 381 ft, 106 exit velo

Now perhaps there are environmental reasons for this.

I need to do more research but my hypothesis is that they are inflating the numbers.

That's true but LNS is still the smallest field in the conference.

440’ is 440’ and impressive. Just looks more impressive playing in the little league World Series stadium.
