Maybe, but I do know they write those reports to sound as bad as possible for the suspect instead of giving a level headed description of the events.

They claim he committed a second-degree felony assault of a cop but let him out on his own recognizance less than an hour later?
Default is to look at the situation and not be beholden to sayings and gotchas.
