That first game in Columbia hurt my feelings. That was a good series for you guys.

Edit: I’m an idiot lol A&M has passed us in the RPI

which is weird when you have a live feed in the dugout and your batters have in ear pieces.

Ah.... the mysterious earpiece that has only been mentioned on tRant.

Once you have proof it was MSU with the live feed please share it with us. Vandy is just as likely as we would be. And look which team has fallen off a cliff since Schloss brought it up.

Not sure I'm over last night's walk-off loss, or the day drinking is working...

Not as much as we do, unfortunately.

2 games to play so plenty of time to recover. Plus, y’all are playing with house money. The national seed is locked up.

Arkansas, Tenn, Kentucky, A&M, and UGA all deserve national seeds.

But surely the SEC can't have 5 of the top 8 seeds, can they?

Seems like at least one of those deserving teams will have to miss out - either Ark, A&M, or UGA.

4 isn’t all that uncommon. I could see 5 if things play out just right. If all 5 end up top 5 in RPI and lead the country in Q1 wins, how do you pick 4 teams ahead of them?

As it stands now, I think UGA is the odd man out. They had a handful of series vs the top tier and lost them all. Flip one of those and it might be a different story.

They might but Arkansas isn’t second in the SEC, Tennessee is and they hold the tie breaker over Kentucky so if Tennessee wins out and Kentucky takes 2 out of 3 Vandy then Tennessee will win

A lot of negative reaction to my post. Is it because I’m mistaken in my assumption that they will be slow to choose 5 SEC teams in the top 8?

I’ll be glad to be wrong about that.

It also shows these so called experts have no idea how good teams when they make predictions months before the season begins.

The only teams with national seed resumes are in the SEC and ACC. The SEC is higher in the RPI. The SEC will get 5 and the ACC will get 3.

The ACC team with the most Q1 wins is Clemson with 10. All 5 of the SEC teams in contention have 12 or more.

edit: Wake also has 10 but they are sub .500 vs Q1.

Best non SEC, ACC resumes.

10 Indiana St
37-11
3-5 vs Q1
62 SOS
Missouri Valley Champs

Weak schedule, "tricked" the RPI with more road games than anyone else

11 Oregon St
40-12
2-2 vs Q1
49 SOS
Potential Pac 12 Champs (currently second but playing #1 AZ)
4 Q1 games all season?? Some SEC play that in a single week!

13 Oklahoma
34-17
11-5 vs Q1
10 SOS
Potential Big 12 Champs (haven't clinched yet)

Pretty good resume, but RPI is outside of the top 12 and 17 losses already.

15 East Carolina
38-13
5-2
56 SOS
Potential AAC Champs (haven;t clinched yet)

Not only is this not a Top 8 resume, it might not be a top 16. I think I'd waste my time looking any lower. The SEC DESERVES five top 8 seeds.
