Most of these have a middle class range that is 100k away from each other.

Classes are typically divided into quintiles:
Bottom 20% - Lower
21-40% - lower middle
41-60% - middle
61-80% - upper middle
81-100 - upper
If they're using "middle" literally, it'd be anyone falling between the 21st and 80th percentiles, which would account for this huge range.
ETA: Why the hell was this moved to the Political Board?
