I agree. But if he went to Saturday detention instead of just skipping it, is this punishment worth it for the district? I just find it laughable that La schools get hyper-focused on things like this and the girl from last year along with other minor things when they are struggling to provide quality education with high graduation rates.
Our public schools don’t have dress codes or Saturday detention. Detentions are served during study hall periods with one of their actual teachers giving them actual subject assignments to complete. There are certainly rules but they tend to focus on performance instead of petty. They are also much higher rated than any LP school with almost perfect graduation rates.
