I'd say it depends on the school. Bama. UGA, and a few others are the schools that are recruiting mostly 4 and 5 star players out of HS. It would stand to reason that they are wanting to hold on to 5 star players as opposed to some lower tier schools trying to hold on to 2 and 3 star guys so we'll go to greater lengths to keep a 5 star player in the fold. If he leaves, its harder to find a player of his caliber to replace him. If a school loses a 3 star guy, its alot easier to find another 3 star guy to come in and take his place.
