Was a sophomore in hs when it came out and my dad and I went and saw it in theatre opening weekend and laughed our asses off. I remember a group of seniors were sitting in the row in front of us and I walked out before the credits rolled because I didn’t wanna be seen at the movies with a parent lol. Dad was cool about it

Superbad came during the great 2000s run of comedies. Knocked up, Superbad, the hangover, Role Models, Tropic Thunder, etc. 2000-2009 was arguably the GOAT run for comedies. It’s been all down hill since. Superbad, wedding crashers, and old school are the hardest I’ve ever laughed in theatre
