Out hit aTm 9 to 5. Just didn’t get them when we needed them.

Likely gonna have to slug it out the rest of the weekend and hope for the best. Interested in seeing Wood as a starter. Emotional guy out of the pen most times. Hopefully he can control that as a starter and win the mental game.

Yeah if I’m A&M, I’m absolutely going to try to get into Gage’s head early and often.

I hope he’s game for the task

Yeah we played good enough to win. Just a bit unlucky. If this was a must win we probably get another inning out of HS and GG and win.

As it stands, it’s kind of a worse case scenario. We’re down a starter and used all of our top BP arms. We could easily get sweep.

This.

Hell, even Wilmsmeyer had 2 hits and reached a 3rd time on an error, and he hadn’t had a hit since the Ole Miss series.

We had a couple of balls to the warning track that are probably gone any other day, as well as one Stovall hit to LCF that would’ve scored Wilmsmeyer from 1st but was caught on the run by their CF who morphed into Willie Mays.

Honestly, I think DVH got a bit stubborn last night and didn’t play small ball when he needed to. Wilmsmeyer was on 1st base twice with no outs and we didn’t try to steal. I keep hearing about his blazing speed but we never seem to use it in the rare event he reaches. When he’s getting hits and reaching, we’ve got to cash in on those rare opportunities.

We're going to have to resort to small ball to make any sort of noise in the postseason because we're mediocre at the plate and we can't hit the long ball. Case in point - A&M's top 3 home run hitters have 27, 24, and 18. Meanwhile our top three have 11 (Aloy), 9 (Stovall) and 7 (three guys).
