Diggs is so bad and has to sit.

0-3 with 2 K’s.

Something is going on with him. He’s a natural hitter and he’s playing like an absolute bum.

Souza just got the same pitch in the same spot 5 times and never touched it.

His fall from grace was swift.

I’ve been saying this for a while, but he’s become one of our worst and most undisciplined hitters.

He’s been a trainwreck since the Ole Miss series, and is 3-35 (.085) with 17 K’s since then in SEC play.

Molina coming out of the pen. Bybee starting tomorrow then?

DVH keeps saying he’s hurt, but he can’t help himself from inserting him into the lineup and having him in the leadoff spot to build his confidence.

He’s forgotten more baseball than I’ll ever know, but I don’t understand his decision-making with Diggs at all this season.

Molina needed a game like this in a massive way. Great outing.

I’m keeping expectations in check though. If he can go 5 giving up 3 I’ll consider it a success.

SUCCESS!

Great game by both Wood and Molina.

Wood - 5.0 IP, 7 H, 0 BB, 2 ER, 5 K's
Molina - 3.0 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 ER, 2 K's

Zero walks between both Wood and Molina was the difference in the game.

Molina seemed more comfortable coming out of the pen. Wonder if that becomes the recipe moving forward.

I was thoroughly encouraged by Wood and Molina tonight. Hell, our bullpen the past two nights (excluding Mac) has been great.

I want Molina starting tbh I trust him over anyone else. I think he will start in the postseason.

Also White has been so good for a while now that's who we thought he was.

I think I heard Phil say on the radio tonight that Tygart is unavailable this weekend. He’s with the team but not on the roster.

Honestly tomorrow’s game doesn’t really matter all that much. Don’t be surprised if Dave goes with a lineup that looks more like it’s built for a midweek game.

We are out of contention for the overall SEC crown but we’ve clinched the West. Basically tomorrow + however long we are in Hoover are just experiment games to get people some work.

Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if it’s not Bybee, then it might be Mac that starts tomorrow

What a nice win last night. Today is just whatever.

Wood, to me, had a great outing. 5 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 5 K's, 86 pitches. That dog will hunt in the post season. And look, in regional play, he probably will not face a more potent offense than last night. Then how about Molina coming back and seeming to get right with Jesus. 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K's, 40 pitches.

5th West title in the last 6 full seasons. 7th consecutive season of 18 league wins or more. Third consecutive 20 win SEC league season.

And so far in the series, Arkansas has out hit the Aggies 20-13. I think DVH is going to have to spread out the guys in the lineup and stop the Diggs playing and especially leading off.

And some around the league talk...

Alabama is in trouble and is now tied with LSU at 12 league wins. Auburn has taken Bama to the woodshed this weekend.

Ole Miss looks like they will not make the NCAAt at this point. LSU may actually have a chance, especially if they sweep the Rebels today.

Florida with a loss, may finish with a losing overall record and not be eligible for the NCAAt.

Can Tennessee sweep South Carolina? Or will the Cats and Vols share the league crown and east crown? If they tie, Vols would grab the #1 seed in SECt and Kentucky would fall to #3.
