It was rumored that Bonds wanted to go into the portal last week. Well before Saban announced his retirement. It was also rumored that Georgia offered TRob before Saban announced his retirement. So, it is likely they made their decision well before they even knew or spoke with DeBoer. You can’t expect him to keep guys who already planned on leaving. Let’s just wait and see. Is that so hard to ask. I get it that it is an internet board, but let’s give it more than 24 hours.

The players in the portal didn’t. Neither did TRob. Maybe he did have an offer from UGa last week; that’s no excuse to make an ultimatum to the new coach that he’s known for hours at best that he needed an answer on the DC job immediately. And when CKD naturally hesitated, TRob said adios and left for Georgia. I think there are some players and coaches who are being more negative than some of the fans.

They did ban a new guy in here today who was an obvious troll. I’m talking about more when I go to the SECRant I see guys with Bama logos being really negative about the hire but I don’t recognize their names. They’re likely just trolls. The vast majority of Bama fans I know love the hire.

Does anyone here think Saban is going to let Greg hire someone that is going to screw up the program. It’s Saban’s legacy and he isn’t going to do that to those players. I am sure Saban gave the ok to this guy and I trust his instincts over anyone else. If DeBoer is good enough for Saban he should be good enough for everyone else. It’s time to get behind the new coach.
