Hopefully we can bring someone in through the portal to backfill some of the players leaving. Blackshire is already gone.

I agree they aren’t the same but the point is. Fact is you wrote DeBoer off after his first press conference. Fact is YStar and POW Hound won’t stop talking about how we are up s**t creek without TRob. I’m sure there were people who thought the same thing about Kines. Dude it is his first day. We will lose coaches and players. Just like we did with Saban. I’m willing to give DeBoer more than 24 hours and a press conference before I go all doom and gloom.

We got plenty of talent at linebacker. I know that Russaw was practicing at outside linebacker, but he looks like he could play either. The staff needs to get that kid on the field quickly

Absolutely. He’s a beast. Jeremiah Alexander is another guy who needs to be on the field.

Yeah that guy is a football player. Reminds me a little of Anfernee Jennings. A guy I thought was way underrated when he was at Bama.

Hey, calm down, nobody has suggested we are up shite creek.
I reacted in real-time when the news broke, and my immediate reaction was letting Kirby cherry pick the only coach we had worth keeping was a mistake.
And it was a mistake whether you get it or not. Go check out TRob recruiting Bio. It's littered with some of THE highest profile players in America that he has landed over the years.
Our corners were playing better than they had in YEARS, and are both going to the NFL as first rounders. TRob is a great coach- look how far Mckinstry and Koolaid developed under his guidance. Kirby saw an opportunity to take him while all hell was breaking loose like a fox in the henhouse. Now he will have some "lockdown" corners.
The real question is why cant anyone have an opinion that they would have liked to have retained him without a handful of other posters absolutely losing their shite ?
"Wont stop talking about it" ?
It happened yesterday !
My comments were in the thread that broke the news, and a couple others relevant to the topic. What else would I be sharing my opinions about in that thread ? The weather ?
This is a board for discussing opinions, and if we cant do that we might as well flip the power switch.
I'm sure DeBear will figure it all out, but in the meantime everything that we have to do will be a little harder without TRob big picture wise. Retain current roster, and current recruiting targets over next couple cycles will definitely be harder without him. He will remain an elite recruiter at UGA, and he will steal a few recruits that we want.
Dont be taking shots at me unless I know you're doing it. If you want to discuss your disgust with my post I'm available anytime, and I'm not hard to find.

Dez Ricks stated on IG live last night that it’s still very much a possibility he stays. Justice Haynes was on the live trying to get him to come back. Ricks is still in Tuscaloosa, likely waiting for the DC and DB coach hire.

That's the best news out of that. Haynes being locked in.

Haynes is locked in. There was a recent video on IG of him training and the video is stickied with “Roll Tide” and “Locked in for Yr 2. RTR” etc.

Haynes is going to be a beast in the new offense.

I was initially pissed about this but over it. I heard he was already talked out of going to the portal with Saban here…. Texas really wants to start a bidding war. Hope they can keep everyone happy there with the NIL deals.

Bond didn't even bother talking to Kalen DeBoer when he reached out (stated directly from Isiah Bond). He had no interest in being here post-Saban regardless of the fit for him. He would've likely made himself a lot of money on Alabama next year too. The passing offense was going to be much improved. Sark and Ewers at QB is basically a sure thing though. It is what it is. Makes full-court press on recommitting Ryan Williams critical to this staff.

Actually, he wanted to leave last year but Saban talked him into staying.

Im higher on Hale than Bond long term to be honest. If I had my pick I'm glad we are keeping Hale if one of them was going to leave. Hale has legit WR1 potential IMO

I agree on Hale, he has Jerry Juedy potential. Bond falls into the Swiss Army knife, change of pace guy. I think Law can do that and more.

Yes, honestly way more excited this means more touches for Law and Hale.
DeBear eyes about to pop at spring practice

Bond leaving says that he is looking for a one year hit to get him in the NFL. Sark may be a better choice for him since his focus is only on himself. Staying with De Boer / Grub would require him to get better at reading the DB's and being fully in sink with his QB on those reads. That may not be fully up to speed in year one depending on how the QB's improve and a new WR coach can get the WR's u to speed.
I am not verly concerned about Bond leaving. R WIlliams on the other hand is a concern. He is a VERY smart kid. I think he is capable of learning quickly. It would be better if he could be in Tuscaloosa for spring but that is not the case. If he does sign with Alabama on Feb 9th, it would be a good thing for the staff to urge him to spend as much time in Tuscaloosa as he can before June and start to learn.

Why are we terrible people because we are discussing something that obvious will effect our program?
We all want Alabama to be successful man and there is nothing wrong with highlighting the value of staff members Nick Saban not only selected but promoted.
Hope we can keep him and if we do magically most of you guys won't be shitting on us and the value T-Rob brings which we all should understand by now
