Yea quite frankly the NCAA, SEC, schools, and players can all frick right off expecting fans to fund the players. We already do, no need for anybody to shell out any more than what we already do.
It's about like the Khans expecting taxpayers to fund a new stadium for them to make another billion off of. frick em.

Baugh was a 3* that we recruited as a RB... This is not a position that is hard to find, if you have a decent Oline.
Baugh got an offer Bama. Thats why he left. He was even on UGAs radar, too.
This is one where the services are wrong. Kid is a legit 4* prospect and I suspect he will get a higher rating after commits to Bama.
This one Hurst tremendously. He is going to be a stud.

Oh man I bet we are being absolutely hammered on the recruiting circuit about Pittman’s job security. Especially now that next years schedule is out. You can easily look at that opening and make a case for him being fired by mid year if Petrino doesn’t make magic happen.

Of course they are. That's why in this day and age of NIL and portal, you cannot retain a lame duck coach.
You have to always be selling positive momentum and hope and there simply is no way to do that right now. Other programs are going to kill you in negative recruiting in that situation.
But hey, it was all the fans fault for recruting being shitty, remember?

Our fans still throwing a tantrum over Pittman not being fired amuse me.
We lose a 3* running back/athlete and look to replace him with a 4* running back that seems to be a better fit for Petrino’s offense. Won’t stop our fans from making snide comments and being pessimistic though.

You must work in the athletic department with quality insight into the status of our program like this. Only that would explain your cluelessness

Baugh had a great season.
Burnette got dropped by Auburn then Mizzou who was thought to lead for Burnette took another RB over him w/NIL (Kewan Lacy) that both Alabama and Ole Miss wanted.
Basically it's musical chairs with 3-4 RBs and we always get the one other teams didn't want.

Maybe the depth chart ran him off. We’re good at the rb position.

The optics certainly aren't great, but good running backs are a dime a dozen.
The overall picture is a much bigger issue. Our recruiting class now ranks at 16th in the SEC with OU/Texas joining, and our transfer portal ranking will be around the same place, barring a big push. That's a huge talent discrepancy to overcome.

I'm far from the "let it burn" stage. But, hell, I defended Chad Morris until after the Auburn game in 2019. So what do I know?
The frustrating thing for me is seeing us somehow miraculously having momentum going into the off-season after a disastrous season, just to completely squander it up to this point. Still time to turn it around...but damn.
