Oh he's only leaving because he is more interested in the coach that just voluntarily jumped ship to a big 12 school. Whew

I think if we're being honest here. Most fans with half a brain are numb to the football program other than the ones that actually believe Bobby will be the HC before seasons end.

Clearly Hunter will have the common decency to wait until after the Mizzou game to make the move.

If a kid is talking about what’s best for his family it ain’t about playing time.

Kids are going to the highest bidder.

If we're 2-5 decency gets thrown out the window.

Dallas South Oak Cliff three-star linebacker JJ Shelton committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks late Monday afternoon.

Shelton is the nation’s No. 593 overall prospect, No. 62 linebacker and No. 99 recruit from Texas in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Shelton is the fourth recruit committed to Arkansas’ 2025 recruiting class. He joins North Little Rock (Ark.) Central Arkansas Christian four-star quarterback Grayson Wilson, Atlanta (Texas) three-star running back Markeylin Batton and Bay Saint Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus kicker Evan Noel.

Arkansas also currently leads for University City (Calif.) wide receiver Dreyden Garner, he told On3 earlier this month.

“Arkansas moved to the top of the list,” Garner told On3. “The visit went really good. I saw the new offense, it is flashy and I like how the let the receivers go deep.

“The coaches made me feel good too. Coach Ronnie Fouch makes me want to be there. His coaching style and the way he wants them to play is high expectations. I like that.

“Then the coaching staff and the facilities stood out to me also. I like the strength and conditioning coaches too and how the program just wants to win bad as the team.”

Mobile (Ala.) Williamson safety Taijh Overton has verbally committed to Sam Pittman and the Arkansas Razorbacks. The 6-2, 190-pound defensive back went public with his decision at 4:30 p.m. Thursday to become the Hogs' fifth commitment for the Class of 2025.

Overton, who visited Fayetteville unofficially on March 9 and will return for an official visit on June 21, chose the Razorbacks over scholarship offers from Florida State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Memphis, Marshall, Liberty and others. He was offered by assistant head coach Scott Fountain on January 30.

"When my family and I went up there, they made me feel at home," Overton told HawgSports of his decision. "I have a really good connection and relationships with the coaches. While up there, I fell in love with their whole program overall from the educational aspect to their football program, I really loved it."

According to 247Sports, Overton is a three-star recruit who ranks 66th nationally among all safety prospects, and 33rd overall regardless of position in the state of Alabama for the Class of 2025. The 247Sports Composite rankings have Overton even higher as the 49th safety in the land and the 28th prospect in his home state.

As a junior, Overton, who goes by the nickname 'The Hammer,' totaled 116 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions, 2 sacks, 19 passes defended, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.

Overton joins an Arkansas class that already included four commitments in Maumelle (Ark.) Central Arkansas Christian quarterback Grayson Wilson, Atlanta (Texas) running back Markeylin Batton, Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff linebacker Jayden Shelton, and Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus kicker Evan Noel.

With the addition of Overton, the Razorbacks go from 61st nationally in the team recruiting rankings and 15th in the SEC to 54th in the country and 13th in the league.

Arkansas signed zero Alabama prospects in three classes between 2020-22, but signed three from the Yellowhammer State in 2023 and added four more in 2024, including a trio of four-star recruits in quarterback KJ Jackson, defensive lineman Kavion Henderson, and linebacker Bradley Shaw. The Razorbacks have offered a total of 27 prospects in Alabama for the Class of 2025 and has scheduled official visits from Overton and Saraland wide receiver Dillon Alfred (June 21), and expected visits from Helena cornerback Jeremiah Alvis, The Montgomery Academy wide receiver DJ Vinson, Birmingham Parker defensive end Caleb Smith, and Montgomery Carver wide receiver Tristan Norman.

Overton will join an Arkansas secondary that currently includes eight scholarship safeties in redshirt-super senior Hudson Clark, super-senior Doneiko Slaughter, senior Jayden Johnson, junior Miguel Mitchell, sophomore TJ Metcalf, sophomore Dylan Hasz, and a pair of redshirt-freshmen in RJ Johnson and Christian Ford.

Pittman and the Hogs are currently hosting several transfer targets on Day 9 of the 15-day spring transfer window. So far, the Razorbacks have received visits from Charlotte transfer linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green, Florida State transfer running back Rodney Hill, Jacksonville State transfer linebacker Larry Worth, Louisville transfer linebacker Jaylin Alderman, Utah State transfer linebacker Anthony Switzer, and Louisville transfer defensive tackle Tawfiq Thomas.

Arkansas is expected to welcome another transfer defensive lineman on Friday when Texas Southern transfer Elinus Noel III makes his way to Fayetteville.

The Arkansas Razorbacks added another piece to their 2025 recruiting class on Thursday, as three-star safety Taijh Overton announced his commitment to Arkansas.

Overton, a native of Mobile, Alabama, held offers from Missouri, Florida State, Ole Miss and others in addition to the Razorbacks.

He made his announcement on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

Arkansas got in the race on Jan. 30, and he took an unofficial visit to the Hill for a Prospect Day on March 8.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back finished his junior campaign with 116 total tackles and nine tackles for loss.

In coverage, Overton is fundamentally sound and is quick to the ball. He picked off three passes in 10 games for Williamson High School and deflected 19 total passes.

Any word on whether we’re still active in this portal cycle? I thought we would be after some linebackers, defensive linemen, offensive lineman, and potentially another corner of the right one presented itself.

Transfer portal stuff is in the stickied 2024 thread at the top of the page.

2025 will be HS recruits until the portal opens at the end of the year in Dec.

When Kamare Williams cut his list to seven programs earlier this year, it was much of a reset with his college football recruitment.

One program's effort really captured the attention of the Wellington (Fla.) Palm Beach Central star wide receiver since that point. On Tuesday evening, he reciprocated in the form of a verbal commitment.

"We're going to Arkansas," Williams told Rivals. "They've never stopped communicating with me. It was always love, really since they first offered me.

"Ronnie Fouch has been talking to me. He's a great dude and ever since he came onto the new staff he has wanted me there. I've been his dude and he always treated me like I was one of his guys already."

The trust between Williams and his future coaching staff is apparent on multiple levels. The rising-senior recruit made the pledge without having seen Fayetteville in person to date. That should change in the month of June as each side works on an official visit.

"It was the communication and the trust," he said. "They all love me and said they can't wait to see me. This was tough, but they stuck out."

Head Hog Sam Pittman received the early commitment news well, Williams says, and his big and physical style is something both parties see fitting in at the SEC level.

"The offense is just like ours, so they can move me all over the field," he said.

After an impressive 2023 season at Palm Beach Central, where Williams hauled in 49 passes for 695 yards and six touchdowns, the newest Razorback is happy to come off the board and put the bulk of the recruiting process behind him.

The focus shifts back to his prep teammates in the meantime, with the Saturday spot locked down despite more than two dozen scholarship offers to his name.

"They're gonna get a dog," Williams said."They're gonna get a good player and I'm always going to show love to the fans.

"I'm locked in on Arkansas!"

Arkansas added its sixth commitment for the Class of 2025 on Tuesday when Delray Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Central wide receiver Kamare Williams went public with his decision. Williams, 6-1, 175, chose the Razorbacks over a final group that also included Ole Miss, Florida, Florida State, Pittsburgh, Indiana, and Louisville.

LSU, Texas A&M, Michigan, Penn State, Auburn, Oregon and others are also found on Williams' lengthy offer list.

Williams was offered by the Hogs on January 30 under then-running backs coach Jimmy Smith. Wide receivers coach Ronnie Fouch will now get the nod for landing Williams' pledge after visiting the receiver's school last week.

According to 247Sports, Williams is a three-star recruit, No. 62 nationally among all wide receivers, and the 61st overall recruit in the state of Florida. Last season, Williams recorded 49 catches for 695 yards and 6 touchdowns. As a sophomore, he posted 35 receptions for 916 yards and 11 touchdowns at Delray Beach Atlantic High School.

Williams has yet to take his official visit in Fayetteville but is believed to be taking it in June.

Arkansas entered the day with the nation's 57th-ranked recruiting class for the 2025 cycle with five verbal commitments in Maumelle (Ark.) Central Arkansas Christian quarterback Grayson Wilson, Atlanta (Texas) running back Markeylin Batton, Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff linebacker Jayden Shelton, Mobile (Ala.) Williamson safety Taijh Overton, and Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus kicker Evan Noel.

With the addition of Williams the Hogs move up to 50th nationally and 14th in the Southeastern Conference recruiting rankings.

Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview athlete Quentin Murphy has committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks for the Class of 2025. Murphy, 6-1, 205, went public with his decision to call the Hogs at approximately 2 p.m. on Saturday, becoming the first domino to fall on a Parkview roster that currently features five Razorback-offered targets for 2025 and 2026 combined.

Murphy will play quarterback for Brad Bolding's Patriots, but was recruited to Fayetteville as an athlete who could play wide receiver for the Hogs in 2025.

He chose the home state school over previously-reported offers from Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Wisconsin, and many others, though Georgia Tech and Syracuse were seen as the two other finalists per 247Sports.

Murphy's offered teammates include 2025 safety Omarion Robinson, 2025 running backs Cameron Settles and Monterio Elston, and 2026 linebacker Jakore Smith.

"I'm here baby, go Pigs," Murphy told HawgSports. "I chose to stay home because the love is there. I've been offered by them since my ninth grade year and they never fell back on me. Coach Pitt is a good guy and he's real. I will stay on my teammates and tell them to stay home, come be a Hog with me."

Murphy and Robinson are expected to take official visits in Fayetteville next weekend (June 7-9), while Elston and Settles are set for the weekend of June 14-16.

Arkansas entered the day with the nation's 53th-ranked recruiting class for the 2025 cycle with six verbal commitments in Maumelle (Ark.) Central Arkansas Christian quarterback Grayson Wilson, Atlanta (Texas) running back Markeylin Batton, West Palm Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Central wide receiver Kamare Williams, Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff linebacker Jayden Shelton, Mobile (Ala.) Williamson safety Taijh Overton, and Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus kicker Evan Noel.

With the addition of Murphy, the Hogs move up to 45th nationally and 13th in the Southeastern Conference recruiting rankings.

Head coach Sam Pittman and the Arkansas Razorbacks have added another piece to their 2025 high school recruiting class, as three-star Parkview athlete Quentin Murphy announced his commitment to the Hogs on Saturday.

A 6-foot, 200-pound senior out of Little Rock, Murphy chose Arkansas over programs like Syracuse, Oregon, Colorado, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Alabama and others.

Murphy was previously committed to Ole Miss and Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin back in June last year, but he rescinded his pledge shortly after.

The 5.6 Rivals three-star prospect will likely play the quarterback position for the Patriots after transferring in from Joe T. Robinson, but a position change in college is probable as Arkansas already has an in-state signal caller commitment for the class of 2025 in four-star Grayson Wilson.

As a junior for the Senators, Murphy racked up 892 passing yards and 697 yards on the ground despite dealing with injuries. He passed for 1,388 yards and ran for 569 yards during his sophomore campaign.

Murphy is the first of four Parkview athletes in the class of 2025 that Arkansas is recruiting alongside running back Cameron Settles, four-star safety Omarion Robinson and athlete Monterrio Elston all reporting offers from the Hogs. Both Murphy and Robinson are expected to visit Fayetteville on June 7, while Elston will make the trip up a week later on June 14.

Following Murphy's commitment, the Razorbacks are now at seven total pledges in the class of 2025.
