Was discussing potential edge players for Bama and I was reminded about this kid. Has anyone heard anything on him lately? I didn’t get to watch much of the spring game, and I’ve heard or read nothing about him since he’s been at Bama. Is there a chance of him getting playing time this season or is it looking like maybe another season before he makes an impact?

Kinda troubling that he hasn’t popped yet given the hype around him.

He definitely doesn’t have “it” like some players we’ve seen before.

He moved from linebacker to defensive line so probably as a rotational guy at worst

He is going into his second season. We had Turner and Braswell at OLB last year. Derrick Thomas would have had trouble starting over them as a true freshman.

I didn’t mention starting.

If the guy could match the hype coming in, we’d know already.

He doesn’t owe me shite. I’m not at all talking as a fan who needs this kid to produce for me. He could sit until his senior season and still be a great college and NFL player. I wish him well in all his endeavors.

But he isn’t up to the hype and there haven’t been any indications that he’s going to be in the near future.

Sometimes not hearings any news on a player is bad news. Sometimes there’s players like Quinnen Williams who after sitting for a couple seasons just explode when given an opportunity. I hope the latter is the case for Keeley

Hey man, he’s my favorite player ever. That statement wasn’t said lightly.

We've all seen both scenarios happen over the years. Its just a wait and see for Keeley, but I agree that we should not count anyone out due to lack of hype early in their careers.

Man he is a freshman. They have to teach him to be more than a pass rusher. He will be fine.
