He probably only resigned because someone else is hiring him

Doubt it. But if that is the case whoever is hiring him will get the same deserved shitshow in a few years.

Fwiw, I live here, and there is so much stupidity regarding this situation. Because he didn't instantly turn then around, the people who were against him being hired in the first place tried to push him out. They were defeated, but still kept coming. So he resigned because this situation is horrendous for the kids.

They should have just shut up and let him work for a few years. The spotlight on him is good for the players in the long run, because if they play well they will get noticed. Same with the community as a whole. I haven't seen the numbers, but I guarantee attendance was up this past year.

Seeing where Nick Gentry has been named Interim HC.

Yep. A lot of BS surrounding this deal. I'm not necessarily a Propst fan but I am a fan of good football and CRP demands good football from his players.

He was an unpopular hire to begin with given his track record from his final days at Hoover to the shite he pulled at both Colquitt County and Valdosta. He wins a lot but at the price of integrity. Some people have standards that dictate to them that they win the right way. The man is the living embodiment of Jon Voight's Coach Kilmer from Varsity Blues.

lol even Rush Propst couldn’t fix that dumpster fire of a town.

They’re like if Clay Chalkville had zero investment in sports and half the athletes. They’re like pre-stoops Kentucky. In a state of complete athletic euthanasia. Sometimes I feel that way about my Huskies but at least they’re starting to buy players from out of town.

Let's be honest. Rush thinks rules don't apply to him. There's already, in one season, been enough stuff happen in that program to justify firing him. Ultimately he had enough backing in the school board to keep it from happening, but it was only going to be a matter of time.

Why should she take $2000 a month from his paycheck? Their kids are all adults. It's just asinine.

It wasn’t child support, it was spousal support. It looks like he hasn’t paid her since 2009. Whether you agree with it or not isnt relevant because the judge ordered him to pay it. There’s a very similar precedent for military with regard to spousal support and Retired pay. It’s hard for her to have a career if he is moving all of the time. That’s the reason for the spousal support. And since he embarrassed the hell out of her with his second family which was probably the reason for the divorce, I’m sure that she will never get married or cohabitate with someone just to force him to keep paying her for the rest of his life.

No it doesn't. 53 months ago was the beginning of 2020.

Spousal support! She was severely injured in a car wreck during their time at Alma Bryant I believe or it may have been at Eufaula before.

According to their Feb. 26, 2009 divorce document, Propst was to pay $2,000 per month to Tammy Propst until he dies or until his ex-wife “shall die, remarry or live openly, or cohabit, with a member of the opposite sex.”

Ridiculous.

I know what it was. It's bullshite. They've been divorced for a decade and a half. No one should pay for another adult's lifestyle like that.
